Privacy and Copyright

Has it ever crossed your mind who owns the information you post on your website?

Surely, its you.......

Well not necessarily.  When you start delving into the fine print of some of the large content sharing websites out there, you may be surpised to find out that many of them claim the right to use it themselves and state in their fine print things along the lines of :

" By submitting content to XXX, you grant XXX a license to the content to use, host, distribute that Content and allow hosting and distribution of that Content, to the extent and in that form or context we deem appropriate. Should you contribute content to the site, you understand that it will be seen and used by others under the license described herein."

We DO NOT have such terms and conditions. We firmly believe that it is your content, and that you should decide who can access it and distribute it. We will monitor your content to check that you violate the propery or other rights of other people or organizations, or our Acceptable Usage Policy but we will NOT use it or distribute it.
