As it is separate from your FamilyUpdates website you can invite different people to share your familytree! Phpgedview has full editing capabilities and supports multimedia like photos and document images, simplyfying the process of collaborating with others working on your family tree. The full privacy functions  allow you to hide details of living people, limit the display of certain types of facts and provide five level of user access.

As your family tree is hosted on your own private webspace in your own dedicated database it cannot be shared with or used by others unless you invite them.
